Opel Blitz, same as the truck behind it but with a different body.

If this is an Opel Blitz, all that remains of it is the front end and chassis. From the windshield on back it's a totally different body. What's the story behind this particular version? Was this done just for the movie? Were there actual Opel Blitzes modified in this fashion in the war?

It seems to be a Polizeimannschaftstransportwagen (phew!) like /vehicle_65902-Opel-Blitz-2,5-32-1938.html, which has lost its rear side door.

:D Isn't that a great language! Having got a fee for speeding on the motorway could be discribed in German as "Ich bin mal wegen des Autobahnhöchstgeschwindigkeitsbegrenzungsübergehungsvergehens bebußt worden".... :)
