Boost: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Delinquent_Road_Hazards#Boost |
◊ 2006-11-24 23:39 |
I thought it was Toyota Supra |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2006-11-30 22:39 |
Yeah well some idiot I know who goes by the name of Chick Peep Des says he's a Dodge Viper/Chevy Corvette hybrid. But he's not. Boost (the purple car) is an Import. Dodge & Chevy's are more of American Muscles & Exotics. |
◊ 2006-12-09 20:19 |
Actually, Boost's taillights closely resemble that of the Viper Competition Coupe, and his headlights are moderately similar as well. And side note, tuners don't have to be Imports. Ford Focus, Chevy Cobalt... Need I go on? |
◊ 2006-12-22 00:09 |
He doesn't look anything like an Eclipse. I think Wikipedia has it wrong. He's got to be a Supra. An interesting thing about him is that he's mostly made of Carbon Fiber. -- Last edit: 2006-12-22 00:11:09 |
◊ 2006-12-22 00:32 |
what year Supra? |
◊ 2006-12-22 18:23 |
I don't know. It could be a 1993-2002 model |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2006-12-24 03:36 |
How in the heck can Boost be a Toyota Supra?! Many sites say he's a Mitsubishi Eclipse (the 1994 version). Wheres the proof??!!! |
◊ 2006-12-24 05:10 |
i agree with snotrod....i just don't see a Supra. |
◊ 2007-01-03 02:54 |
I think he is a Mitsubushi 300 GT and he is more Pink then Purple |
◊ 2007-01-03 02:56 |
I also think he deserves 3 stars (rather then 2) |
◊ 2007-01-03 17:27 |
Why? It is only seen in this brief scene, no? |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2007-01-04 00:39 |
Bio from the official site: The leader of the gang, Boost does not suffer from a lack of self-esteem. Equipped with a neon under car kit, that lights up his whole body, Boost can impress any car on the road with the flip of a switch, including himself. Bio from Wikipedia: Boost is the leader of The Delinquent Road Hazards. He is a 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a carbon fiber hood with slit-shaped air intakes (that resemble nostrils), side air intakes, & a "double-decker" spoiler. He is known for his 3 N20 Cola cylinders near his spoiler to 'boost' him on his way (hence his name). Unfortunately for him, Lightning McQueen takes 1 of those cylinders in the video game. In the Sheriff's Hot Pursuit mini-game, Boost is identified as a Hod Rodder. In the introduction scene of the gang, he is 2nd with his left front wheel, tail-lights, & exhaust tips seen. According to his license plate, seen in detail on the inside cover of the Cars Soundtrack, he is licensed to a city named Nitropolis. -- Last edit: 2007-01-04 00:42:09 |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2007-01-04 15:27 |
Are you blind?! If he was pink, then that'll makle him either a girl or a homosexual. |
◊ 2007-04-01 18:47 |
He looks noughthing like an Eclipse |
◊ 2007-04-21 22:44 |
boost is in no way an eclipse-and to top it off definatly not a 1g(91-94). |
◊ 2007-06-10 00:11 |
Would you agree with me and some others that he looks like a 1993-2002 Supra? |
◊ 2007-06-24 10:29 |
Are we talking about Boost here? He's supposed to be a Silvia. If any of them is an Eclipse, it's Wingo. |
◊ 2007-08-23 01:40 |
Hi. I just joined this forum. Mitsubishi's web site mentioned Boost. I don't know if it's still up there but they even claimed he was an Eclipse. |
◊ 2007-10-18 20:46 |
SnotRodFanatic, just because a car is pink doesn't mean its a girl or homosexual, look at the race cars, the pink racers have all been identified with MALE names, not female! |
◊ 2007-10-19 22:38 |
I think we have it backwards. I think Boost is the Nissan Silvia and Wingo is the Mitsubishi Eclipse. |
◊ 2007-10-26 21:08 |
I see some Skyline R34 front end on Boost, only with the lights half covered, just a thought for you. |
◊ 2008-04-30 06:16 |
IT IS ACTUALLY A 1994 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE COUPE |
◊ 2009-06-13 10:47 |
I agree that if the other three in this bunch have 3 Stars, Boost should also have 3 Stars and not 2 |
◊ 2009-11-16 00:45 |
hey, this is not right, I know all about Boost ok! i love him. he is a mitsubishi eclipse. and dont you ever call him a girl or a homoesexual!!! i mean it no one calls him that, u have no idea what he has been through. so just stop calling him those names and back the hell off no one calls my Boost that. seriosly u guys need to grow up. i know alot more about him. so just leave him the hell alone. u dooshbags! |
◊ 2009-11-16 00:52 |
ummm are you Serious?? "He" is not real, It is just a cartoon. "He" has been through nothing. |
◊ 2010-06-21 15:47 |
i think that you have this 1 and Wingo mixed up, this looks more like a silvia and wingo looks more like an eclipse |
◊ 2010-06-22 23:46 |
1. "He" is a car - A vehicle, not a living being. 2. A cartoon car in a cartoon film - A fictional character - Does not exist. 3. He is a Ricer. Ricers = EPIC FAIL. |
◊ 2010-08-16 01:51 |

does anyone know if there gonna make a cars 2? -- Last edit: 2010-08-16 06:44:58 |
◊ 2010-08-20 17:28 |
That "Chat" between me and that other dude... Not right! Besides... A true car guy should like all cars. |
◊ 2010-08-20 21:48 |
A true car guy is able to separate -due his substantiated knowledge- between a junk and a good car. |
◊ 2010-09-01 12:00 |
well leoz, i hope your not refurring "ricers" as being fast and furious cars, because those cars have been modded not just to look good "like ricer cars" but to be highly performanced enough to even dominate exotic cars in races, as proven in the fast and the furious. thats the beauty of imports. |
◊ 2010-09-04 18:14 |
Yeah, I don't knock imports, they're good for performance and are technologically advanced but look at all those cars in that film - They're fitted with stupid bodykits, big ugly spoilers, neons/LED's, large exhausts and stupid shiny wheels that cost more than the car itself. What is the point in all that? I prefer American muscle cars; they were built with huge engines that can be tuned without the aid of a PC and have so much power they can beat a tuner or exotic car (in a straight line with a good driver, that is). Plus, muscle cars always look the part. They do not require silly bodykits or spoilers, plus they actually sound good. |
◊ 2010-10-10 00:35 |
I dont agree all cars that are fitted with aftermarket bodykits, seats, spoilers, performance parts ETC... are pointless and rice burner-like. Because i used to have a BMW M3 e46 with a aftermarket bodykit and aftermarket performance parts and it looked like a masterpiece from heaven, but when you heavily "modify" a civic it turns into a ricermobile?? You see, my point is, what to classify as a ricer, because i see it as it's not the parts you put on it, but the car itself?? Well tell me what you think, and what your view is on it. |
◊ 2010-10-10 17:49 |
In Europe, especially in Germany, such a car in such a trim is seen as an embarrasing vehicle for young, stupid and uneducated Turkish immigrant-boys. You'll destroy your personal image with such a thing immediately and continually in the worst way. There are a few exceptions- like also uneducated young countryside-boys. Sometimes they like this chav's junk-mobiles, too. |
◊ 2010-10-12 02:17 |
wow, look what they did to that challenger, it looks like it was riced down to the engine |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2010-10-12 02:21 |
modified cars such as these movies, I find extremely boring, booooooooooooooooooring All the same, look like toy cars are "common" and bla bla bla. |
◊ 2010-10-21 19:45 |
I agree, Gomselmash11. @ majorhawke: I believe most cars should be kept at their original exterior level. The only cars I think look good customised are old American cars such as Hot Rods. Over here most people only have cheap small cars that do not look so good, especially when they modify them. I hate big alloy wheels and body kits, you might like them but I'm a person who enjoys mocking those with zero taste. Or sense, I mean, what is the point of all those big spoilers and bumpers? They make the car heavier, are easily scratched and bring the value down. I have a '00 Ford Fiesta and I will never ruin it with all that plastic bodykit bullish#t. Nor will I add a big exhaust or stupid rims. Plus I can't afford it and even if I had the money I would do the most logical thing; buy a better car! |
◊ 2010-10-24 22:09 |
Yeah, i kinda lost my taste for imports, im back to liking exotics and muscles again, one question, have you ever played need for speed most wanted or carbon?? just check these out, tell me if these babies look ugly even though there modied a bit: BMW M3 GTR http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/1884/nfsshowroom1210009305.jpg Audi Leman Quattro |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2010-10-24 22:12 |
Yes Leoz, i've also totally agree with you. -- Last edit: 2010-10-24 22:12:11 |
◊ 2010-10-25 06:13 |
Yeah I used to have a few Need For Speeds, Most Wanted being one of them. TBH I thought they were overated, I grew out of that whole customising gimick, besides I only bought them because I thought they'd have some muscle cars, which they did not. Carbon did, which is a lot better in my opinion, and even better than that is Pro Street, with even more muscles and exotics. Both very good games, but the cars in both of them could go a lot faster in reality. The only one I have left now is High Stakes (Road Challenge) from '99, which I had since I was seven. The best racing/driving game in my opinion is Gran Turismo. Especially the ones after no.3. They're a lot more realistic, both in driving and graphics. |
◊ 2010-12-20 03:35 |
yep! it's coming out in either 2011 or 2012 |
◊ 2011-02-18 17:59 |
@ leoz- Shut up!! he is real, its just that you haven't lived!! lolz why dont u die in hell and back off. he is real to me so get over yourself. your just jelous u cant be anything like Boost so get a life and screw yourself bitch!nd he has been through alot, so that shows you don't know shit. his mother passed away in a fire and he has been upset ever since. you just wish you were cool haha |
◊ 2011-02-18 19:23 |
Well. What's whole point of this saying? |
◊ 2011-02-18 20:41 |
@Nightrider: it's about deep love-feelings for an drawed car in an animation movie and/or a computer game. So something really weird. Or there is annother meaning, but if that, I'm too stupid to understand it. I even don't understand the first intention... |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2011-02-18 20:49 |
Agree, what a boring discussion |
◊ 2011-02-18 20:55 |
Agreed. Plus, it was minor action character... |
◊ 2011-02-18 20:59 |
Who? The car, leoz or boostsgirl14 ? |
◊ 2011-02-18 21:12 |
Mostly the car...but boostsgirl too. |

@boostsgirl14:Are you serious? You seem like 12-13 years old when you talk rubbish,non-sense like that on here. Even I didn't fool around like you did.YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND SERIOUSLY. Back to topic:-I agree with Boost being an Eclipse, rather an Eagle Talon(that's what many websites have listed)But I also think he has some Viper elements in him,for example he's taillights and rear windshield. He is my most favorite character in the movie (me and my bro used to play as BOOST(me) and DJ(my bro)all day long,we were 10 BTW)Guess that was a long story ehh? |
◊ 2011-10-25 14:57 |

◊ 2011-10-26 19:50 |
Whoever you are,you may not have commented in many days, why don't you burn yourself in fire and die in the same pathetic way you talk. Also on a side note- Boost color is more magenta than pink/purple |

why is it from america? |
◊ 2016-05-25 23:21 |
It was the first car manufactured by Diamond Star Motors, (the Chrysler/Mitsubishi joint venture) in Illinois. It was developed specifically for the North American market and all were made in the US. |
