We need to come up with a better designation for these Presidential limousines instead of just "Stretched Limousine". In fact these things only look like Cadillacs, the badge is the only geniune Cadillac part, these cars are completely custom built. The latest Presidential car doesn't actually resemble a particular Cadillac model like the STS or CTS, it just sort of has a grille that's similar to the latest Cadillac models.

Well it's really only the current presidential limousine, in use since Obama took office, that doesn't have a proper name. It's based on the GMC Topkick truck and the name given to it by GM was "Cadillac Presidential Limousine." These earlier limousines were actually based on real Cadillac models (at least in outside appearance).

Maybe it would be better if we called them "Presidential Limousine" instead of "Stretched Limousine" as these vehicles are in a class of their own. Do you guys agree?

Or maybe add something in the extra info to indicate the uniqueness of these vehicles.

G-MANN, I think if we call them "Presidential Limousine"s, that would probably indicate the uniqueness of the vehicles. Or what did you have in mind?

I don't know really, does this have an official model name? What are the names of the companies that made these things?

I don't know how many other actual Presidential limos are on this site but here's another one: /vehicle_62529-Cadillac-DTS-Stretched-Limousine-2005.html

You might want to check out the wikipedia article on presidential limousines, it's actually pretty good:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidential_State_Car_(United_States)

There is also a page for the 2005 model limousine:
Link to "en.wikipedia.org")

By the looks of it, "Presidential Limousine" would be a good name for the ones we have listed.

I'd agree too. There's John F. Kennedy's limo /vehicle_259523-Lincoln-Continental-1961.html listed already as "Presidential State Car".
I don't know if "The Beast" is on here somewhere?

Yes: /vehicle_337809-Cadillac-Presidential-Limousine-2009.html

We already have a few listed as Presidential Limousines.

Looks like footage from George W. Bush's first inauguration in January 2001.
