Old logo of our TVP1 :D In the early 1990s many schoolboys at my age was fascinated with this (nearly) undestructible truck. But back then we thought it was a real thing and not just customized for movie :/

I was about 10 yrs old when I saw this show and had a few episodes on VHS, including the pilot. Never thought of the truck, like in Highwayman or knight rider, as being SUPER TRUCK, but I loved it none the less. It appeared to be functional. The episodes were great by having the truck only be a tool to assist the police, but it didn't go crashing through walls, or jumping over large ravines. The whole show had some pretty cool vehicles and gadgets, and this truck was one of the most memorable. thanks to all contributing to this, I loved seeing the picture with the armor over the cab.

This is a 1964 GMC/H&H built by H&H Fire Apparatus in Jersey City, New Jersey. It was originally built for the Union City NJ Fire Department* as their Rescue Squad. Saulsbury Fire Equipment rehabbed it for the show with a roof mounted gun turret, aluminum tread plate, four stabilizer jacks, retractable bullet proof windshield covers, telescoping lights and remote camera on the roof, trap door on bottom, rear mounted hydraulic crane, and other modifications and painted it to match the NYPD color scheme at the time. the Saulsbury nameplate at the rear wheel.
It also appeared in 1994’s The Professional (Léon) starring twelve-year old Natalie Portman, the 1995 Bruce Willis movie Die Hard: With a Vengeance (with added ‘Bomb Squad’ livery), in Ransom and Daylight, both in 1996, Night Falls On Manhattan in 1997 and The Siege in 1998. It was also used in various episodes of New York Undercover from 1994-98. and many other productions including Third Watch and Blue Bloods which was its last appearance.
It was scrapped in 2012.
