I'm 99% sure that this is not a Cowley. It looks like it has a longer bonnet - that, and the wire wheels, lead me to think its actually an F-Type Oxford. These were 6-cylinder cars (2320cc, 17.9hp)and only 50 were built. It was the first Morris to have wire wheels with centre-locking hubs - it therefore can't be a Cowley which never had wire wheels.

Interesting - that car on the above link was Lord Nuffield's personal transport for many years, was restored by Kennings IIRC and is photgraphed at Gaydon where it's on display. I've also got a photo of that car but didn't connect it to the B&W shot above because the bodywork is different. However...

This listing is a duplicate of this one - /vehicle_99454-Morris-Oxford-Bullnose.html - which has more photos, one of which manages to include the numberplate (just). It appears to show that it is indeed BW5415, the same car preserved at Gaydon!

Chassis number 9641, registered on 03/10/1921 - can someone merge the listings?

We would not merge as they are different films/programmes, but we try to cross-link as much as possible for same car/footage occurring in different places - as you have done by copying the url into a comment, and as I am about to do on the other page.

Ah yes, I didn't notice that they were two different programmes!
