The front end looks like an early 1960s Daimler Fleetline, the rear looks like a MCW Metrobus. Not having a staircase could be a problem. |

It's more like a modern bus than the old Routemaster (which the passenger entered at the rear rather than the front like more modern buses do). Many double-deckers in Britain just have the one entrance at the front, but since this is an animators drawing it may be copied from any bus in particular. Animators don't seem to have the time or the inclination to be accurate in every single detail when it comes to drawing certain things in particular, for example military uniforms in The Simpsons and other cartoons are often very inaccurate, partly because some uniforms (particular those of the US Military which feature many badges and ribbons) contain so much detail. Animators avoid doing drawings with excessive detail because it makes them more difficult to animate and copy, animation takes a long time to do and they only have so much time, this is why most cars in cartoons are very generic looking and don't contain enough detail for them closely resemble particular models of car, unless it copies a car with a very distinctive design, like the VW Beetle. |
