andre1969 ◊ 2010-10-08 20:13	I guess it could be possible that icecream truck just took off in the morning from whereever it was being stored, without the driver? I was under the impression that most of these vehicles became "alive" while nobody was in them, otherwise it would be kind of hard to kill off the driver without sacrificing yourself, such as the VW with the pizza delivery driver. I guess it's also possible that the truck could pretend to stall out, in an attempt to lure the driver outside to check under the hood, and then either run him over or just take off on a random killing spree,

Apparently, it's never been released. I don't remember where I read this information, I think at a Maximum Overdrive fan site, but that scene was apparently definitely filmed.

The rear overhang indicates an 8 ft. /2.44 m box on the 102"/2.59 m wheelbase of a Step-Van 7 P-10: a Step-Van King P-20 / P-30 would have at least a 125"/3.17 m wheelbase with a 10 ft / 3.05 m box, and the upper horizontal bar of the box would be located higher. This body was unveiled in 1973 for the Step-Van 7, meaning a 1973-75 van.
