I think it's pretending to be an Indian taxi. Indian Taxis are, of course, usually Ambassadors or Padminis ... |

The thumbnail shows the three bonnet air-intakes and the specific lightning equipment that identify a 3500 S [P6B] US Federal version. They were introduced in 1969 as 1970 model year cars. |

These are the Gattaca/Austin Powers cars again. The front vehicle is the chase car from Austin Powers 2, the rear vehicle was the Uma Thurman Gattaca car and went over the cliff in Austin Powers 2. Both are early 1970 Federal vehicles with modified right hand chain-drive. |

This car with the same paint scheme brings Marisol Nichols to the Marine compound in Bahrain in "The Princess and the Marine". They wanted a "foreign" looking taxi. Not too authentic, but it worked for the scene. |

This is from the episode "Badlaa". The scene is supposed to be the Sahar International Airport in Mumbai, India, although the scene was filmed at a cruise line terminal in Long Beach, California. -- Last edit: 2013-11-24 14:49:53 |
