... with ingo's favourite crunchy sills. I now eagerly await cl82's usual admiration-filled comment about the amazing longevity and durability of Rootes products. |

Crunchy Sills was a popular breakfast cereal in Europe in the Seventies and Eighties. Scrapyards across the continent were filled with rusted Rootes metal which was totally useless for anything but breakfast cereals. ![]() There was also K70 Crunch (which failed badly due to the manufacturer dabbling in a strange rotary cereal making machine and disappeared without a trace following a half hearted attempt at marketing by the company who bought the original firm out) and Ford Flakes (not very good, but strangely popular at the time). There was also Marina Munch crisps. I had a bag once, but they got squished by a piano. |

That was the best comment I've read on this site for a long time. ![]() ![]() |

Don't forget the "Fiat Frutties" they looked real sweet but wasted away to nothing when you poured on the milk (or any liquid for that matter!) ![]() |

Not to mention the exotic assortment that was the Sunbeam Alpen![]() Husky Nut Loops which were very popular with young families, and the plain but always sensible Shredded VWheat. |
