Is there a shot that shows its AWD? Badging? Maybe we can narrow down the year by that shot

Sorry, I didn't think to get a screenshot of the badge... But it was right on the door and said "Astro AWD" with AWD in Red.

Like this one (Except this one looks to say EXT instead of AWD): http://inlinethumb06.webshots.com/21381/2990681780047558762S600x600Q85.jpg

Funny how GM’s product marketers badged it as all-wheel drive (AWD) and not four-wheel drive (4WD).

Because there is a difference between the two terms. Here's a Motor Trend article on the differences:

That’s the problem with modern marketing and public influence, which is what my comment pertained too. That Motor Trend article is the modern view of the two terms. The two terms once meant the same thing. There was and is no difference in "all-wheel drive" and "four-wheel drive". Sort of like "engine" and "motor", two different terms, same meaning.

This 1960 Chevrolet document uses the terms "all-wheel drive" with "four-wheel drive" to describe the same drive system, and even states not to use it on hard pavement (as it lacks a center differential). This contradicts the modern, and incorrect, view of all-wheel drive.

All-wheel drive shows up in a lot of older vintage documents with or in place of four-wheel drive.

At least a 1995+ model with that front clip.
