AJ plate series completed before 1929, so I can't date it. |

County Council of the North Riding of Yorkshire. AJ 1132 was the first issue of 1913, AJ 7598 was the first issue of 1922, but there is no data available in between. This would date the vehicle at about 1920, but it looks later to me unless the electric lighting is a retrofit, so the number may not be genuine. The picture is not very clear, and it would be good to see the wheels in side view, but the radiator looks like a Dennis. http://www.flickr.com/photos/homer----simpson/3507718319/ -- Last edit: 2012-07-25 09:00:47 |

Certainly seems to be another WW1 ex-WD Dennis like this one. Link to "www.google.co.uk" |

It appears to be a 1930 forward control Dennis 30 cwt from the adjusted picture (steering column visible). |

I have not seen the film, and wondered if this might be a bus, but just checked out the film on you know where and it's a 30 cwt or 2 ton van, typical of the type used by parcels carriers like Carter Patterson. -- Last edit: 2012-07-25 19:50:37 |

John, I'm an expert on telling the difference between a truck and a bus. |
