Not 100% certain but I think this is a 1930 LaSalle 7 passenger sedan. Does have a look of Studebaker President about it but does not have cowl lamps. Not a Cadillac because it does not have the ornamentation below the doors. |

Hmmm, still not sure. A pity we don't get to see it from the front. The side lights are not the 'stand up' type used by Cadillac and LaSalle. Also the wheels look more like Studebaker and it has the arched roof line of the 7 passenger Studebaker President of 1929-30 but the sidelights could have been updated to the 1931 style. I think I will put it back to unknown and see if we get any comments on it. I did find this one - /vehicle_239668-Studebaker-President-FB-1929.html - which I see I identified as a Studebaker in 2009. Had a look at the video - we don't get much of a look at it though, do we. Still leaning towards modified Studebaker President FB series fitted with 1931 style sidelights, but hope to hear from someone else on this. One reason is that the fabric section of the roof comes over almost down to the door tops whereas on the LaSalle and Cadillac it is not visible from the side. -- Last edit: 2012-07-11 05:47:12 |
