The front and back registration numbers are different. |

Rear is genuine 1965 combination, but issued in Wigtownshire (now Cumbria, so unlikely for a London taxi). Front is fake - E (87-88) never came with CBD or CBO. My guess is taxi is about 68-70 (has Mk2 ADO16 rear lights, but does not look much later) - anyone able to pin down further?? |

Perhaps I was being unfair, because there are two FX4s in this scene and perhaps the main pic is one and the thumbnail is the other. See /vehicle_512030-Mazda-626-Coupe-CB-1979.html |

But there is some witchcraft going on for E151 CBD, which has variously round wing mirrors (thumb above) or rectangular (eg /vehicle_512031-Chrysler-Sigma-GE-1977.html , /vehicle_512035-Datsun-Bluebird-910-1980.html ). Maybe some actual UK footage mixed in?? /vehicle_512023-Ford-Escort.html and /vehicle_512044-Ford-Sierra.html do not look fake-London. |

The Escort and the Sierra are definitely stock footage of London. What's the white van in front of the Sigma? Looking closer at that shot, I think it's real London too. |

I'd got that van down as Holden or Falcon so Aus! The Renault 5 and Triumph 2000 look London. |

1968 or 1969 onwards for rear-lights and front side-lights plus side turn-indictors. |
