Speedster was evaluated for US sales with Pontiac badging and some US mags road-tested it on that basis so there is some potential to explain why it's here, but result went down a different route of re-engineering it as Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky. |

Actually, the Sky and Solstice are little to not at all related to the Speedster/VX220. Those were on the Kappa architecture (partially derived from the Corvette), while the Speedster/VX220 used the Series 2 Elise chassis. So they can't be re-engineered if they're not related in the first place. Of course, the data collected from testing the Speedster/VX220 here was most likely used in the development of the Kappa cars. |
