Where is this scene ? In Spain ? Then rather Ambulancia, not Krankenwagen. And I'd suspect this a standard Volkswagen version, not a Miesen (fold down rear hatch).

ah, i wanted to describe it as ambulancia, for another reason, cause it is a maltesian
the blue light looks like of german origin
my question is:
have it to be declared as ambulanza, when it is a VW in Italy, or only when it is a VW converted in Italy?
By the way, in Germany the official name used by Police, fire brigade, red cross, etc. is KTW = KrankenTransportWagen

Yes, we try to use the name that is locally used in official VW documents, do indeed Krankenwagen / Ambulance / Ambulanza / Ambulancia etc.
Volkswagen had the Krankenwagen (with fold-down rear hatch) in their standard delivery program.

Which provokes annother comment about the common approach over here, to list vehicles as "made for ...", when just other names were used in the sales brochures. [:kiki]
What's up here? Had the Spanish Red Cross other equipment or it's just the regular VW-made Krankenwagen?

No, I guess not. But 'Made for'is used when there are visible differences with the homemarket mdoels (different bumpers, different lights, different license plate holders, etc.) or if the name is different from the homemarket.

Naah, have a look to the different VW Typ 1 and Typ 2 (T1 and T2) here. Some are really listed as "made for ..." with that reason.
