Lateef ◊ 2012-04-29 01:47	Every time I see a Reliant I don't think of the blue one in all Mr. Bean or the yellow one in All Fools and Horses or the ones humiliated in Top Gear, but of the green one our neighbour had when my family and I lived in Ballinger, Great Missenden, back in 1995-96. It was still there when we revisited the place in Autumn 1999. I think that's the only time I've ever seen a Reliant in the flesh.

Most Brits call it the Robin Reliant thanks to Jasper Carrot getting the name wrong. The best story I heard was a bloke done for speeding in one on the motorway - he got the usual fine for 70+mph, plus additional police costs because they went to get the police car speedometer and equipment double-checked to remove any possibility of doubt about the figures presented in court.
