That Jeep is a CJ-7 Golden Eagle. It is interesting to note that the first episode with the Jeep, and maybe the very next episode, the Jepp has it's doors and it says "Dixie" on the doors, and "Golden Eagle" on the hood sides, whereas every single other episode it has no doors, and "Dixie" is on the hood sides. Oh, one more thing. This guy that goes by "General Lee" is a complete idiot. I have seen his posts on a lot of the cars on this site, and whatever it is he says is ALWAYS wrong.

Sometimes people make mistakes or take a guess at what they think the car is. The best rule of thumb is to place a ? or 2 after an educated guess, we always try to add a link to verify the year, make and model of the vehicle listed, By the way...Welcome......Firebird86

Well, I'm sure he isn't ALWAYs wrong and just because someone gets some things wrong doesn't mean he is an idiot. I know because I've been wrong quite a few times. Oh yes and Welcome, I'm Conor also known as Explorer4x4 and earlier, dwd4X4.

1977-78 CJ7.
By 1980 I am rather certain the Golden Eagle had high back buckets and three point seat belts.

It seems as though I stepped on a few toes with that "idiot" comment, I am not a big fan of people who are "know-it-alls", especially when most, if not all of their information is wrong, and when corrected, are adament that they were right the first time. I have been wrong before, (not to sound cocky, but when it comes to cars, me being wrong is a rare occurance) but I'll admit to it if I am wrong, not stand firm on bad info. It just so happens that I really love muscle cars...well, cars period, and the Dukes of Hazzard, I know a lot about those subjects. If I see false info, I am going to correct it. And by the way, I still maintain that Mr."General Lee" is ALWAYS wrong. I have never seen any true info posted by this guy, and I have been all over this website...Read his posts, you'll see what I mean.

She received her trademark white 1980 Jeep CJ-7 "Golden Eagle" named The Dixie which had a Golden Eagle emblem on the hood and the name "Dixie" on the hood sides. As with other vehicles in the show, there were different versions of the Jeep shown in various episodes. Sometimes the Jeep would have a different paint scheme with the "Dixie" name on the hood instead of the doors, and it would alternate between automatic and manual transmissions....but 100% 1980 model

...and before someone tries to correct me by saying the sow started in 1979, please remember her first car was a yellow and black 1971 Plymouth Road Runner. Although the car was intended to be a Plymouth Road Runner, some early episodes used a 1974 Dodge Charger with a matching "Road Runner stripe" painted behind the rear window. After losing that car over the side of a cliff (depicted in the second season episode "The Runaway"). LOOK IT UP

Daisy's car was never a yellow and black Dodge Charger, it alternated between a 1971 Satellite, and a 1973/1974 Road Runner. The 1973 came first, which is why the 1971 Satellite had a 1973-style stripe. And the reason I know it's a Satellite and not a Road Runner? All the 1971's that WB used had the flat, feature-less hood. All Road Runners had some kind of hoodscoop/hood bulge.

Most of this is true. Daisy's car was NEVER a Dodge Charger of any color! That was soley Bo and Luke's car--aka the "General Lee." From what I understand when researching this show (of which I lived and breathed it growing up and love to research/learn trivia on it whenever I can) Daisy's first car was a Yellow with Black Racing Stripe 1974 Plymouth Road Runner. When wrecking those on occasion while filming, for some reason they found it very difficult to find replacement parts/cars. For some other, even more unknown, reason they found they could find replacement parts/cars much easier for the 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring. So, that was Daisy's second car--which they painted yellow with the black stripe to make viewers think it was still the Road Runner. However, eventually they found it hard to replace the Satellites and Jeep offered the use of some of their new models, as a promo for them. So, producers accepted the offer and the Satellite was driven off a cliff by Bo and Luke (by accident in the show, not on purpose) and Daisy then got her 1980 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle Editon--nicknamed "Dixie."

I understand that there more than one Jeep CJ-7 is being used throughout the series.

For example, I have seen some episode with manual transmission version and other times with automatic transmission...

the First Jeep was a '80 Jeep Cj-7 Golden Eagle, then later they would remove the Golden Eagle scripts and put Dixie in place of them.

Several years and models of Jeeps were used in the show. Jeep had a deal either with producers or Warner Bros. to have Daisy use them as a promo for Jeep. Perhaps it worked but personally I don't really care for the Jeep. I loved Daisy's yellow Roadrunner/Satellite...they were awesome and should have remained. ;)

They started out with either a 1979 or 1980 model, but I believe over the years other newer models were used as well.

Be careful about comments like above...you cannot tell a 79 from a 80 CJ-7.
There were no visual differences between CJ-7s in their various years..aside from trim packages being offered one year and changed or dropped the next.

Nothing changed on the CJ-7s until the introduction of the YJ series in 1986.

That's not true, I have a whole list of changes. 1979 brought the slanted rollbar. 1980 brought highback seats. 1981 brought 3-point front seatbelts that are on the rollbar and revised taillights which eliminated the rear sidemarker. 1982 brought WideTrack. So you can tell differences between some of the years. This one should have extra pics to show things better, but we do not see highback seats in this particular pic.

Daisy gets the Jeep at the end of Episode 2.14 The Runaway. You can see it has the lowback seats, so it was originally a 1979.

It was next seen in Ep 2.16:

And checking later seasons, it still has the lowback seats:
