I think this is a GMC CCKW that has had the rear axle removed. The difference between the GMC and the Chevy G-7100 series is the engine side panel louvers. The GMC vents are full length as pictured here where the Chevy is only the rear 1/4 section. Based on that I would call this a GMC. The Chevy had a single rear axle where the GMC had tandem axles however so many of the GMCs were built (600,000+) and later modified that removing the axle was not uncommon. All these parts were often mixed and matched after becoming surplus and put into private hands for decades more of hard use. Could also be a GMC cab on a Chevy 1.5 ton...what is known is GMC cab section.
