Can the truck it hits be identified? 3.19: -- Last edit: 2011-09-09 20:10:01 |

Both Suburbans are 1985-1988 models based on the grille. The main one appears to be a [K-20] model, although I would like Neptune to confirm. The truck it hits appears to be an older-style Ford F-100, although that is just my educated guess. |

Yes it is a K-20 four-wheel drive three quarter-ton utility. It appears to have manual locking front drive-wheel hubs, which would indicate that it has conventional four-wheel drive with a transfer case that had non-synchronized gearing. The rounded-lines that had automatic self locking front drive-wheel hubs boasted a transfer case with fully synchronized gearing. These had shift-on-the-move four-wheel drive, which was GM's top-of-the-line 4x4 system. |
