Here's another image of the BMW from Ep. 1.01: As you can see, it has a California-style license plate. However, "California" is replaced with "Drive Safely." A few other shows, like "No Ordinary Family," "Ghost Whisperer," and "Scrubs" have done the same thing. I think the font used on California plates is called "Rage Italic." In addition, the license is a 7-series plate. Currently, California is only up to 6-series plates. Also, "Q," as well as "I" and "O," wouldn't be used as the third letter of the three-letter combination. It looks like the decision was made at some point in shooting the pilot episode to move the setting from California/State of Drive Safely to Kansas City (and vicinity). -- Last edit: 2012-02-11 22:25:14 |
