Actually, the wheels look a little small for it to be a Beaver - it looks more like a Cub or a Lynx to me. The Beaver in the link www.eriding.net is a "22-cabbed" Beaver, as announced in 1947. The film shot is a pre-war vehicle |

I believe this has the longer 14ft wheelbase rather than the Cub's 11ft wheelbase. Therefore it would be a Beaver 6-Ton. The pre-war (1938) Lynx appears to have been a lightweight Cub based chassis of 5-Ton, 12ft and 14ft wheelbases, with semi-forward control only as produced by Leyland. -- Last edit: 2016-03-15 12:39:08 |
