Another poor rebuild. Gremlin X wheels without the X striping and a different colored nose, indicating a scrapyard part they never bothered to repaint. It also looks like there are black spots on the bottom (bondo?),so a repaint is likely. Definitely 1970-73, and no X until '71. |

I really like the alloys and tyres |

The front bumper and the color (isn't it "Maxi Blue"?) let me think it is a 1973. |

Seeing as the nose is black and the rest of the car is blue,Im thinking there has been a front-end rebuild on this car, suggesting possible previous damage. Thus, the bumper may also be a replacement.Interesting, too, because the redesigned 1974-5 front clip is suppossed to be easier to find than these earlier-model styles. "Maxi blue" is lighter, more of a "Powder blue". And again, one must ask if this is original paint. You can buy reproduction stripe kits. But this has the alloy wheels ONLY used on a Gremlin X but a stripe scheme from a base-model Gremlin. |

This is a 1973 because the front bumper is extended out from the nose. |
