It is the 96, the 95 is the estate version. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_96 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_95 There is a very slight chance that it is a very rare Saab 60. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_60 |

This is a 1968 car, large windshield, and it´s a SAAB V4 De Luxe with the same trimming as the earlier Monte Carlo model. http://mclellansautomotive.com/photos/B20905.jpg The term 95/96 was not used by SAAB from 1965 til 1969/70 for some reason, but the car is of course a 96. |

We could maybe put 96 as chassis code for these V4, so the list/search of Saab 96 will include these? -- Last edit: 2006-06-14 22:24:38 (DAF555) |

Twin chrome stripes indicates it's a sports model. |

That´s a good idea |

Not for 1968, the Monte Carlo was dropped with the 1967 models. This De Luxe model was only made for export, 1967-69. So it´s a rare sight on the home market. -- Last edit: 2006-06-14 22:34:18 |
