Looks like post war made specimen, maybe after 1947.

But not much newer, see the bumper. Maybe even 1945. No 1946, because this had an unique "nose" for the plate-light.

Those bowl-shaped hubcaps came in October 1947; the banana-shaped overriders were used until April 1949. But indeed the license plate light holder (and brake light) looks more like pre 1946 than post-1946...

Part of Stiftung Volkswagen Automuseum exhibition. Declared to be built in 1943.

Hadn't ingo said something about these Autostadt "w***ers" always putting newer parts on older specimen? :D

Yup, he said they don't care. 1943, so KdF Innenlenker?

@Gamer: as I've heard, that car shall be removed now, but the worst thing, I've seen in the Volkswagen Museum, was a pre-war Audi (a Front or 225, I think), where a moron has mounted the hubcaps of a 1977 Audi 80 GLS - with a Spax-screw for wood, smashed into the nave!!

...in summer 2000, just as the AutoStadt opened and the cars were being taken to the museum.

Not all cars, neither in the AutoStadt, nor in the AutoMuseum are in perfect and acceptable -for hardcore connaisseurs acceptable- condition. I haven't been there since a while, but I know that from some informants :o
