I'd say that it looks more like a Xantia than a XM.
XM had either the double "^" on the right of the grill, or in the middle. Not above it.
But it is strange that I never saw this since the car is there since long time (low number), and that I added most of the pics of this movie :??:

Definitely a Xantia, early model.

Hmm, ok, I am not expert on Citroen cars. There was car with no picture - Citroen XM, so I tried to find one - except this, there was no other Citroen.. Also by this movie was listed Volvo 740 without pic - I have good eye on old Volvos, but truly, I did not seen it there, so I deleted that one..

Maybe that the one that reported the car took that one for a XM then :D Well, anyway, there may also be some errors for cars with low numbers and that miss picture.

Isn't the chevron on the hood 1993 rather than 1994?

1993-94, I think. (Though it seems to have appeared by at least Summer 94: /vehicle_357746-Citroen-Xantia-1994.html )

June 94 facelift moved the chevron onto the grille.

1993, not 1994 due to the Chevron on the hood.
