Looks more like a Suburban. Maybe a 2500. Too long for a Blazer. |

The trailer is an '88 Airstream International. -- Last edit: 2006-06-21 01:43:49 |

And wasn't there no 2-door Blazer for this generation? But besides that, it is a very beautiful car . |

Why doesn't this site add trailers? |
◊ 2006-08-25 21:53 |
Because they are not close enough to vehicles |

87-91 GM Suburbans, Blazers and Crew-Cab pick ups were R/V series |

why does the SUV have different alloys in the scene of the gas station to the rest of the movie? |
◊ 2007-01-27 22:21 |
It's a mistake in the film, in fact the only time we see the rims in the main picture is when we see the first shot of the Suburban, than they turn into factory style rims for the rest of the film. -- Last edit: 2007-01-27 22:22:11 |

its still a V2500 |
◊ 2007-03-24 02:20 |
I dont think its a mistake you see that alot in movies, the burb at the gas station was brobably just a really nice one they didnt want to screw up so they found another one and painted it up to match. If you look the wheel arches on the one at the gas station they're notched to accomidate the bigger tires the one they crash isnt. (kind of a shame they blow the shit out of it that was a really nice truck) |

I guess we'll never know why they changed Suburbans or the rims. By the way I couldn't aggree with you more on the fact it's a shame they crash it and damage it, it's my favorite Suburban in any movie. |
◊ 2007-04-01 00:56 |
Well they ruined a perfectly good collecters item right here. |

This was a body face lift on the K-5 Blazer and Suburban that was produced from 1989 through 1991. I'd want one of these, but the mileage sucks. -- Last edit: 2007-07-05 22:23:07 |

It's not a 1990,1991 is the only year these trucks had the rear view mirrors shown above... |
◊ 2008-10-25 07:28 |
I can't tell if it is a 4x4 or 2wd, I can't see a diff. cover in the front, it would be a solid front axle still, 91' was the year before IFS in 92'. -- Last edit: 2008-10-25 07:29:56 |

Look closely at the thumbnails. Some pics are straight axle 4x4 and others you can see lower control arms of 2 wheel drive. |

It’s a 1990-1991 model for sure, note the black extended mirrors (not the aftermarket add-on multi-view towing mirrors) The Suburban has power assisted side view mirrors. Some captures show a rear-wheel-drive Suburban and some show a four-wheel-drive Suburban indicating more than one vehicle was used for filming, as "outlaw" pointed out. The 4x4s used most certainly had shift-on-the-move part-time four-wheel-drive with a heavy duty two-speed New Process Gear transfer gearbox with low range reduction gearing. They may or may not have the optional automatic locking rear differential (RPO G80). -- Last edit: 2010-12-09 01:44:23 |
