I think this might be a Wyvern, not a Velox. The wheels seem to be body colour, not cream. |

I thought the big badge on the bonnet indicated Velox? |

I've checked on Google Images, and it ain't necessarily so, apparently. Some Wyverns (including two on Danish plates) have the big badge. It's unfortunate that the Cub Scout is standing in front of the badge on the fender  ... but I'm unwilling to argue. |

Thanks, but not a lot ... I zoomed in on it and I still think it might be Wyvern, but maybe I'm just convincing myself. I wonder whether there were tax advantages to the smaller engine in Denmark? -- Last edit: 2011-01-01 21:10:33 |

@chris40: on smaller engiones not, AFAIK. But for any better interior, trim-line and extra options you hade to pay (until when?) an incredible high "luxoury tax" in Denmark, 80% or so of the price. So for that reason, in Denmark you have seen many basic cars, much more than in other countries. The size of the engine was not so important for the tax, as Danish people have told me. Due that you could find the -everywhere else hyperrare- combination of basic equipped cars with the biggest available engine...  |
