The grille badge would indicate either RS or SS. The V8-powered SS has a slot above the grille that is not seen here, so this a V6-powered model with RS trim.

Did a Chevy sponsorship kick in this episode? I know CBS has the whole Chevy Cruze thing going on this fall, but find it interesting that the Mustang featured in the pilot was nowhere to be seen.

I guess so, at the end of the show it said sponsored by GM (and Hawaiian Airlines iirc).
Ep 2 had only two Fords prominently featured and they crash into each other  Meanwhile the three Chevy vehicles have no trouble.

What was also interesting is that both McGarrett and Danny drove it, implying it belongs the Five-O task force. Maybe Danny still has his 'Stang for personal use. But with Chevy "taking over" the show that probably won't happen.

The Cruze has too obvious of product placement in the final action scene.
The gold "bow tie" was directly behind the bad guys getting cuffed.
Not too subtle.

If you see these lights flashing behind you, you will not love it, as you can be sure, that you have to pay some money quite soon. :p

RS is actually just an option package on LT and SS models. So would this just be called an LT or and LT/RS?

I think it's more than a 3-star car.

I agree. Seen in a lot of episodes now. Upped to 4.

And if you have them in the radiator grill in germany, no matter blue-blue or blue-red, you are paying an awful lot of money, you are not allowed to drive for quite a time, and your car is not allowed to move the car another inch by it's own engine.
