Cord 810/812. Could be a replica, though |

If not a later replica, then it's a supercharged (chromed exhaust pipes) 1937 Cord 812. -- Last edit: 2010-09-15 05:56:45 |

Corvair engined replica from 1965. Maker? Who knows, but at the time the boom was still young. Link to "web.archive.org" Link to "web.archive.org" Link to "web.archive.org" EDIT: as old as this, it appears to be a Cord/810 by the Cord Automobile Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma: https://www.allcarindex.com/production/united-states/cord-810/ Founded by Glenn Pray, a teacher who owned the rights to the Cord name. The 810 on early cars was a joke based on the fact that his cars were 8:10 scale compared to the original. The model name was "Sportsman," but I'd feel more comfortable listing it simply as make Cord, model 810, maybe with the name of the company in extra info. No bells, no whistles...no Thirties Dream, Golden Days, Paragon, Antebellum or whatever...just Cord. [As much as I hate to quote this wretched movie] "Cause I'm just Cord, anywhere else I'd be a Ford!" -- Last edit: 2023-12-07 19:20:03 |
