On kfzderwehrmacht.de we are told 'About 23,000 examples (of the AHS) were made as Lastkraftwagen 2t Renault AHS for the Wehrmacht from 1941-44.' Perhaps the afterthought frontal treatment here arose from what was to hand in the workshop's parts bin that could be added to make the truck look more German. The finished result sits there rather like one of those completely undetectable pieces as worn, allegedly, by television newsreaders and other personalities. |
