New taillights, 1985 or later...

Looks like this one has CHMSL on the top of the roof...

Could this means 1994/95?

I thought Chevrolet Express were introduced in 1996 model year replacing the old version of this van :??:

Brochures list the Chevy Van and Express sold side by side from 1996-98 (but I am researching more on that now)

alright so here's what I have found out, first of all look at the picture of this brochure for the 1997 Chevrolet Express and Chevy Van to see where the confusion started: (just so y'all know that I am not completely crazy)

I just went through my own collection and found my brochure for the 1996 Express (which also says Chevy Van) and it appears that Chevrolet was going to call the Passenger Van 'Express' and the Cargo Van 'Chevy Van' (N.A.D.A. even lists them this way) but apparently they decided against it as they stuck 'Express' badges on all versions. From 1996-1998 though all of the brochures (as well as NADA) list the Express Cargo Van as 'Chevy Van'. In 1999 'Chevy Van' disapears from the brochures (and NADA).

So I was wrong before and this one is a 94-95 Chevy Van

How many of these were sold in Eastern Europe? And is there anything to differentiate between American vans and those for foreign markets?

This one seems to been acquired by second handed from USA directly...

I don't see anything outside normal except for the local plate over the original one at the bumper...

@tonkaTRACKER: It seems Ford did a similar thing. For the 1999 model year and onward, the Econoline name was replaced by the E-Series brand on badging. But it seems as if the Econoline name stuck on official literature up until 2001 :o
