Definitely not a TR7. I think it's the Alpine A610 in the other entry.

Compare this one with with eg /images/130/484.jpg and it's clearly an A610 in both cases.

It could be dead & cheap "dummy" Triumph TR7 playing rare Alpine A610:

From Wikipedia 'Eldorado' (TV Series) entry:

"The series ended with one of its star characters, Marcus Tandy (played by Jesse Birdsall), escaping an attempt on his life with his car being blown up, and sailing off into the distance on a boat, with his girlfriend Pilar Moreno (played by Sandra Sandri). Some viewers noticed that the car that was blown up was not, in fact, the Renault Alpine driven by Marcus, but a thinly disguised, much older model, the Triumph TR7. The final line of dialogue, delivered by Tandy, was: 'You can't trust anyone these days, can you?'"

I even remember reading about it in The Sun newspaper at the time.

Aaaah - the shame! Fooled by a low budget BBC mock up. I'm sobbing away in the corner until I can feel brave enough to go and make a marmite sandwich. Just hope I've got some unsalted butter...

@ingo: Thanks - it will. Highland Park, I think (no connection to the Chrysler factory).

Hmm, nice provenance. Maybe on our next Scotland-trip, we can go there. Until now we haven't reached them.
Btw. my mousepad:

But we haven't been inside, we just passed it on the way to the Castle behind. We were on a strong "Fill-up-the-Historic-Scotland-Pass"-tour. ;)
And I'm not a big Whisky-expert or fan either. I must admit, that I liked at most *cough*, sorry - the Japanese Suntory.

I own the car, it was never blown up.
If you look close at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IB76TGwDeT4 you can see where it changes :)
