A classic example for the "Wartburg-syndrome", as I call it. It was sold very good in East Germany after 1990 - but not in the West. The "Ossis" loved smaller Sedans, much more than the "Wessis". They preferred the Hatchback-versions. When you saw a Chamade with German plates, you could be sure for 80-90%, that it came from East Germany. Not only of the Renault 19, it was the same with many other cars, for example Ford Escort/Orion, Opel Kadett/Astra, VW Golf/Jetta etc. -- Last edit: 2010-07-02 23:08:16 |
