Ingo ◊ 2010-07-02 22:29	It's for sure no 770, something much smaller. Rather 230 or something in that size. Only a very very few people had a real 770 "Großer Mercedes" in use. The most were delivered to the Reichskanzlei, a few to presidents and emperors around the world (some as a present of Hitler), only a few single 770 were bought be very rich private persons. It was unreachable for everyone else.
juRI ◊ 2010-07-27 23:38	I think it is a Mercedes-Benz Type 320 Cabriolet B, internal code W 142 (1937-1942). It was the successor of Type 290 W18 (1933-1937) and shared design line with the Mercedes-Benz Type 230 W143 (1937-1941). Type 320 was longer, had a more rounded, flowing rear end, and the swept split windows are more typical for the Cabriolet B of 320 models. Cabriolet B means two-door model with four seats. Cabriolet A would be a two-door model with two seats, and a cabriolet D a four-door model with four seats. In this combination "D" is not used for "Diesel"!
