this steam roller doesn't look identifiable because ou only see it from rear !! a shot from the front end would have really helped and it's only a documentary anyway, perhaps should go from the rear most steam roller look the same, I could come up with any vintage american steam roller and claim it to be it !! -- Last edit: 2014-07-07 22:19:40 |

If this was in 1903, it's interesting that there would even be any steam rollers in 1903. |

In 1916 the Buffalo Steam Roller Company merged with the Kelly-Springfield Company to form the Buffalo-Springfield Road Roller Company Springfield, Ohio. Has a solid flywheel like a Kelly-Springfield. The Buffalo-Springfield Roller Co. was formed as a merger of the Buffalo Pitts Co. and the Kelly-Springfield Road Roller Co. (before to 1902 known as the O.S. Kelly Co.) -- Last edit: 2014-07-09 03:09:15 |

Steamroller From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In America, the Buffalo-Springfield Roller Company was a large builder. J. I. Case made a roller variant of their famed farm engines, but had a small market share. So, the odds are fair that it's a Kelly-Springfield. Could all other makes be proven to be unlikely? |

I suppose the odds are it's O.S. Kelly or Kelly-Springfield based on the flywheel. |
