It uses the airdelivery system to inflate one of the oxygensuits and makes it opperate just like a human. The suit grabs a convinient fire-emergecy axe and starts choppin` the the two guys. The first one in the neck and the second one in the chest and in the back. |

Well that was stupid. The Chevy Step Van in Maximum Overdrive was better. I saw this movie on TV, and the Grumman and the Tonka truck were not in it. I taped it in 1999 and that was the only version I ever saw. I am now tempted to buy it even though the movie sucked. Especially the "mysterious" and supposed-to-be-scary voice of the choper. |

The helicopter voice isn't supposed to be scary. What i confused about is what happened to that girl's dad who went on the motorcycle get a helicopter in the first place. |

I've only seen the televised version, and am a bit disapointed that I never got to see the mailman bashing scene. It sounds like this oxygen-suit axing scene is borderline brain-dead though. Considering this movie seemed to try to go for a darker tone and take itself a bit more seriously than Maximum Overdrive did, this scene just seems out-of-place. Almost like slap-stick comedy or something! And I know it's just a movie, but it seems to just defy logic. Wouldn't it have been quicker and more effective for the truck to just stall itself out, and then the moment the guys hopped out to check under the hood, just run them over? Maybe that's less imaginative, but it's also less far-fetched. But hey, I don't write these things for a living!  |
