The 1968 had a much smaller back window. 1967 was the last year for the huge window. Here is a 1967: http://www.hubcapcafe.com/i/2001/cars4kids/cuda6701a.JPG here is a 1968: http://www.hubcapcafe.com/i/2001/saxon/cuda6801a.JPG |

Actually, this is a 68 fastback. The barracuda in 1967, 68 and 69 came in three different body styles, coupe (or notchback), fastback and convertible. The one in this picture is a 68 fastback. The link that the previous poster said was a 68 is a notchback. 1969 was the last year for the fastback. |

68. Since I can see there is a disagreement I'll make it easy. 67-69 have the same sheet metal. The easist way to tell them is to look at the side marker lights. 67 had none, 68 had round, and 69 had rectangles that were recessed similar to the 70-71 Duster. The 69's had a small difference in the hood where it had the center ridge like the Dart Sports of 73+ -- Last edit: 2006-06-23 18:19:57 |

five years late, but anyways: this is episode s06e02 "drive" of the x-files. this is the episode where antenna arrays emitting "ELF waves" (apparently military stuff, to contact submarines) lies beneath the homes of some people, among them the driver depicted in the picture. an abnormal surge in these waves has caused a rising pressure in the inner ear of the people living nearby, which is what is causing some peoples heads to explode in the episode. the only solution to ease the pain of the pressure is to drive west, which the driver here is doing, really fast. link: http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/Drive |
