 Why 1982-1987? And what's [YE-9]? The proper model name is C-10 and "Silverado" would be the trim. This one has a "Fleetside" bed. However, in this case I'm not particularly sure about the model year range. |

YE9 Silverado - This came with all the goodies included in the Cheyenne package, and full gauge instrumentation, instead of just warning lights. Full door trim panels with matching carpet on the bottom sections, door pockets, full cowl trim in the floor area, and Silverado name plate. YE9 is the RPO (Regular Production Option) code for the C/K or R/V series pickups. It simply means the truck left the factory equipped with the Silverado trim level package. The Silverado trim level package added nearly $1,000 extra to the truck’s base price. So, if the truck had the Silverado trim, YE9 would be included with all the other RPO codes on the RPO list located on the inside of the glove box. Another RPO code example is G80. G80 means the truck left the factory with the "Gov-lock" automatic locking rear differential. So, if the truck had the locking rear differential, G80 would be included with all the other RPO codes on the RPO list located on the inside of the glove box. |
