It's only a film. The point of this scene is that they are attacking the conspicuous luxury cars like the BMWs and Range Rovers and sparing the more ordinary cheap cars like the Chevys and Fords that belong to people who just need a car rather than people who buy a car as a status symbol. They smash a BMW 7-Series and a Volkswagen New Beetle with baseball bats, setting off their airbags and alarms. The car behind the BMW is a Range Rover (in the commentary they say they hit a Range Rover than a BMW), but you can't really see it. -- Last edit: 2007-08-07 00:20:14 |

The airbag would not deploy if you hit the car with a bat. Even in a small impact driving the car they don't deploy either. Just for show I guess. Fight Club is a nice film, but the message in this case isn't any good. Having a luxury vehicle doesn't make you an evil person, plus you can have a cheap car and be and absolute dick. |
