I remember having a long discussion with Piers Johnson (owner of the 'Mrs Peel - We're Needed' website) about this car ten years ago! We established it was a TE21, but had quite a discussion about the year. I think it shows a 'D' registration (which would make it a 1966 car), but it is a little bit unclear (even when I used to watch it on television)! |

CAN 972D is a genuine plate issued Aug-Dec 66, but TF21 introduced March 66. The only externally visible TE/TF difference I can find details for is that the TF had a heated rear window. Unless it is actually known as a TE from records (old showroom stock or whatever??), the date suggests TF. |
