I wonder why American made cars are usually used for this purpose ? I mean used at the horse track. |

I guess, because they were heavy and strong enough to hold the big bars on the back. Btw.: I remember, that a race-track in Germany (Baden-Baden?) had an Opel Diplomat B for that in the 70ies.
