May I have your attention please? ...and introducing... one of the best sport cars ever made and 1st. in the site.

The Pegaso Z-102 was the only sport car made by Pegaso and one of the best of its time. Only 84 were made (and every one different from the other) and if we are lucky with the plate or some more information we can actually know the 'life' of every car. We can say there were 4 Pegasos Z-102 and (a few) Z-103. First the Pegasos made completely at Pegaso's factory by 'his father' Wifredo Ricart (Wifredo Pelayo Ricart Medina); others with body designed by the italian coachbuider Carrozzeria Touring (Carlo Felice Anderloni), the cars will be Pegaso Touring; others with body (gorgeous) designed by french coachbuider Jaques Saoutchik and the cars will be Pegaso Saoutchik and finally a few spiders were designed by the spanish coachbuilder Pedro Serra and they will be Pegaso Serra

Well the car of the pic is specifically the number 55 of the Pegasos Z-102 production. It's a pity but only rear part is shown. It used two chassis serial number, the 3-0155 and 3-0127 and Bay Wright used it in some race competitions using differents engines (6-0155 and 9-0127) with or without compressor.

The last notice I know of it is that it was for a time at the Schlumpf collection (Mulhouse Museum) but it seems it was selled.
The car was painted several times. The pic of the front is from when it was red

I've read about these, built between 1951 and 1958 and had a top speed of 257kph. Sadly the company didn't make any money out of it, and they continued what they did best, making buses and trucks. I'd really love to own one, in particular the Touring Sport Spider, sadly they only built one.
