Rover 800? |

No, I think it's one of the early Hondaised 200s or 400s - can't tell which because I can't see the back. The early ones didn't have Rover grilles. |

Wasn't this a 416? [400] |

Rover [R8] 200 = hatchback 400 = saloon This looks to be the hatchback. -- Last edit: 2009-07-05 16:58:10 |

I'm not so sure now ... I think the R8 hatchback's window aft of the C-pillar curved inwards, which this doesn't. I think it's a 400. It's a pity that the pic cuts off at the point to which they're more or less identical |

This is definitely a Rover 200 hatchback. The 400 didn't have the 3rd window behind the rear door. Other details such as the larger indicators on a car without a chrome grille indicate that it has to be a Rover 200 from about 1993. |

Hatch, and by those wheels, a 216GSi: http://images04.olx.fr/ui/1/14/65/2510965_1.jpg |

The 400 did have a 3rd window, but it was smaller with a more upright rear pillar. |

Why not a 218 with XUD PSA Diesel engine, much more frequent in France? |

Yes, could be a 218 GSD. Someone would have to go back to the film and listen to the engine! |
