The car on the right looks like a Ford Cortina, not like a Taunus [TC1] - by the door handles. |

Strange, because Mark III Cortinas were not imported to Italy, I'm sure. Since it's a left hand drive, it should be a foreigh visitor's car, maybe from France, the Netherlands or Austria. The first 124 is a I series in olive green (code 323). The one on the small pict. on the left is a II series in the same colour, and the last one in a I series in turquoise blue (code 419). |

I guess this picture was taken in Switzerland. In Italy there would be no need to show how to get to Italy |

Surely it's on the Swiss side of the Italian border? Note the sign 'Dogana' (Customs) in the background ... and IIRC Cortinas were exported to Switzerland. |
