Reminds me of the "Every Car Is A Pinto" entry at the TV Tropes wiki. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EveryCarIsAPinto -- Last edit: 2008-11-19 14:28:53 |

Can anyone tell me how you distinguish between a 986M, Zaporojetz and 968A? |

Thanks. I don't think I've ever seen any of the original 1967 versions with the grille. I saw quite a few of the 1973+ versions when I was in Ukraine last summer. Are there still many of them left in Poland? |

No they disappeared quite quickly after the 1989. Already in the early 1990's a used one was cheaper than the new bicycle. They were never so common like other "popular cars". The one with chromed grill was probably never imported here. |

Others are listed as Zaporojets rather than Zaporozhec. It will stay a problem which transcription of the cyrillic we should use, but it would be better to use the same everywhere... Edit: Oops, even more are listed as Zaporojetz... -- Last edit: 2008-12-10 19:17:26 |
