It seems that the 125 model name only started to be used in Argentina with the 125 Special body in 1972. These first 125s were sold there as Fiat 1600 and were produced between 1969 and 1972.

Was a Fiat 125 body with a increased to 1.622 cm3 fiat 1.500 engine. The 125 model name started in 1.972 with the introduction of 1608 cm3 twin cam Fiat 125 engine.

1622cc is such an odd size. Could it have been an old BMC engine carried over from ADO38 assembly locally?
