The one in the middle looks Chrysler-ish. I keep thinking either late-1950's Chrysler or Imperial. |

Looks to be a 1960 Plymouth EDIT: 1960 Plymouth Limousine, based on information at these two listings: /vehicle_23471-Plymouth-Limousine-1958.html and /vehicle_65194-Plymouth-Coronado-1961.html I think the one on the right is a Cadillac, not sure about the one on the left. -- Last edit: 2008-09-04 01:42:06 |

The first car in the lineup is a 1961 Plymouth exteded limousine, the second one is a 1960 Plymouth extended limousine and the third one is a 1954 or 55 Cadillac Limo. These extended Plymouths were only made in export markets, not in the US. The countries who built them include Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland and Ireland. There might be others. Also in Holland they stretched those Plymouthes (coachbuilder Versteegen). Maybe Animatronixx could tell us who might have done the job in Norway? |

Hmmm... I have too many ideas, but can´t narrow them down to a reliable identification. Many coachbuilders come into my mind (Jacobsen, Föreland, Auto-Karosserifabrikken, Bussbygg maybe...), but I have never seen a similar conversion to this one from Norway.  @DynaMike: You known more about Carrosseriebouw Versteegen? It seems like there´s not much information left and I always failed to find out more about them. |

Versteegen made lots of conversions to limousines and hearses, often on Plymouth. They had many advertisements in 'de Kampioen', the magazine of the Dutch autobile association ANWB. I have a whole bunch of these magazines (from 1940 onwards) and I could try to make copies of these ads and send them to you. But since I'm a total nitwit in the field of digital photography or scanning I'll have to find somebody who can help me... So it might take some time  |

If you search for a 1961 Plymouth Limousine, you´ll find a Belvedere /vehicle_292703-Plymouth-Belvedere-1961.html and a Coronado /vehicle_65194-Plymouth-Coronado-1961.html . Now you see the white stripe at the car´s side, but you should compare the windows: While the Belvedere has only a small windows in the fond, the Coronado has a devided one, just like this one. |
