HPI lists it as an MMC "MMC" Motor Manufacturing Company Ltd. Drapers Field Coventry Warwickshire 1895-1908 Originally known as the Great Horseless Carriage Company Ltd. and supplied with parts by Daimler. The name change to the Motor Manufacturing Company came about in 1898. http://www.britishmm.co.uk/history.asp?id=627 MMC cars appear in the annual London to Brigton runs but not this actual car -- Last edit: 2008-08-12 23:23:23 |

It matches this MMC 10hp tonneau from 1902 front, bonnet and firewall shape are the same, only the position of the single headlamp is different. .....Also another new make, The actual car, F89, is shown here on the 1988 London to Brighton run. http://www.brighton-early.com/mmc.html The picture description on the site I think indicates DR14 is the same car, if so it was re-registered in 1989. The vehicle details for DR 14 are: Date of Liability 01 11 2008 Date of First Registration 21 04 1989 Year of Manufacture 1902 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2042CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour GREEN -- Last edit: 2008-08-13 12:00:25 |
