Isn´t that just the trim covering the hole in the fender that the horn is mounted behind? If it´s something else there was not any legal demands for indicators, trafficators were mounted up till 1959 models. |

Indeed, netween Februarry 1949 and October 1952 the Export/Deluxe versions had round grilles covering the horn (only on the left side) exactly on that location. But these look more like extra lights. I guess these are just aftermarket extras, like the stonegurads on the rear fenders and the logo just above the boot lid handle. Cf |
