could be an ID, but I think it is a DS |

DS indeed, of first serie. |

What’s the difference between an 'ID' and a 'DS'? |

For me mainly the hubcaps and the color of the rear indicators 'trumpets' (in C pillars) - they were usually black in ID. Technically - the DS had famous hydropneumatic suspension, ID was a simple version without such gadgets. -- Last edit: 2007-12-06 23:40:53 |

So in summary, the ID was the "cheap" version of the DS. Later renamed to DSuper/DSpecial. But both DS and ID had that special suspension. What the ID did not had were other special features linked to that, related to brakes, steering and gearbox I think. Edit: from Wikipedia: -- Last edit: 2007-12-06 23:28:13 |

You are right antp, I wrote this too fast and mixed word 'hydropnaumatic' with 'hydraulic'. -- Last edit: 2007-12-06 23:44:28 |

With non-original paint and somehow strange headlights... Btw, the interior pic isn't from the DS. |

Strange? that is the car he is shown driving |

The steering wheel is black and has a central point and ribbed spokes, whereas the car in the main pic obviously has got a white steering wheel... |

If she's 1960+ then 1962 only (B-pillar without position light). |
